Sunday May 12, 2019 – Arrival in Rome

Welcome to Italy! Upon arrival in Rome Fiumicino airport (FCO), you will meet your English-speaking guide and will be transferred by private bus to our centrally located hotel. Accommodation and time at leisure to relax or discover of the city center on your own. Overnight in Rome (Breakfast/Dinner provided, Lunch on your own)

 

Monday May 13, 2019 – Panoramic sightseeing with Colosseum

Morning meeting with an English-speaking guide for a panoramic sightseeing tour of Rome. You will have the chance to visit the historical city center and admire: Spanish Steps and its square, to see the fountain called “barcaccia”; Trevi Fountain, the largest and most famous Baroque fountain in Rome; Navona Square and the Pantheon, the best-preserved temple of ancient Rome. The visit also includes a stop to visit the Colosseum and Imperial Forums. The Colosseum, built in 80 AD, is the largest amphitheater ever built and it is considered one of the greatest works of architecture in the world. At the end of the visit, you will have leisure time to relax or dedicate to individual activities. Overnight in Rome. (Breakfast provided, Dinner and Lunch on your own)

 

Tuesday May 14, 2019 – Private Vatican tour

Morning meeting with an English-speaking guide and a private coach and transfer to the Vatican, for a Half Day dedicated to visiting the wonderful Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The Vatican Museums and their immense wealth of art, resulting from centuries of papal collections, offer an extraordinary experience. See the great masterpieces of Michelangelo, "The Last Judgement" in the Sistine Chapel. End the tour visiting St. Peter's Basilica to admire the art treasures of the largest Roman Catholic Church in the world, including Michelangelo's Pietà (appropriate attire required no shorts or sleeveless tops). No waiting time. At the end of the visit transfer back to the hotel and afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Rome. (Breakfast and Dinner provided, lunch on your own)


Wednesday May 15, 2019 – Transfer to Sorrento with a stop in Pompeii

Morning meeting with the driver and departure by private bus from the hotel in Rome to the hotel in Sorrento. Enroute you will stop in the ancient Roman city of Pompeii where an English-speaking guide take us to visit the ruins. After the visit that will last approx. 2 hrs. we’ll continue to Sorrento, famous since the 17th century as one of the destination of The Grand Tour, the trip that the young European aristocrats used to take. Sorrento is indeed a pretty city where kindness and hospitality are a trait handed down from one generation to the next. Arrival at the hotel, check in and time at leisure to relax. Overnight in Sorrento. (Breakfast and Dinner provided, Lunch on your own)

 

Thursday May 16, 2019 – Full Day Capri Excursion

Morning meeting with our guide at hotel lobby and transfer by minivans to the pier to embark on the jetfoil for a Full day excursion on the island of Capri. On arrival, after 20 mins ride, you’ll visit the village of Ana Capri, located on the top of the hill Solaro, then Capri center. The lazy life of Capri will conquer you: the Piazzetta, sitting room of the world, Via Camerelle, glamourous shopping street, Augustus’ Gardens, lush gardens with amazing sight of the island. Lunch will be at your leisure and in the afternoon transfer back to Sorrento pier and return to your hotel. Overnight in Sorrento. (Breakfast provided, Dinner and Lunch on your own)

Friday May 17, 2019 – Full Day Amalfi Coast

Today you will meet an English-speaking guide and depart by private bus for a Full Day tour along the 3 pearls of the Amalfi Coast: Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Amalfi, once one of the 4 maritime republics together with Venice, Genoa and Pisa, it was a wealthy city ruling the entire coast with its power. It has been retreat of poets, writers and the birthplace of Flavio Gioia, the inventor of the compass. The city center is simply lovely with its small shops of local goods, lemon products and the incredible Cathedral. Not to miss: the Museum of the Paper. Continue to the timeless town of Ravello, loved by Goethe, who expressively said that for “Amalfitan people the day they die is nothing different from their life as they always lived in Paradise”. Here you have the chance to walk around the colorful ceramic shops where expert artisans create unique pieces. Last stop to admire Positano. This is a picturesque small village of fishermen set as a jewel into the coast. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Sorrento. (Breakfast provided, Dinner and Lunch on your own)

 

Saturday May 18, 2019 – Day at leisure in Sorrento

Today you will have the entire day at your disposal to enjoy an optional tour from Sorrento or dedicated to relaxing and shopping. Overnight in Sorrento. (Breakfast and Dinner provided, Lunch on your own)

 

Sunday May 19, 2016 – Flight Home!

Morning meeting with the private coach and Departure to Naples international airport (NAP) on time to embark on your return flight. Arrivederci Italia! (Breakfast provided at hotel and Dinner/Lunch provided on flights)
